How to Reach

Amarnath is a popular pilgrimage site in India, located in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir. The nearest town to Amarnath is Pahalgam, which is approximately 96 kilometers away. Here are the steps to reach Amarnath:

  1. By Air: The nearest airport to Amarnath is the Srinagar International Airport. From the airport.
  2. By Train: The nearest railway station to Pahalgam is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is well connected to major cities in India.
  3. By Road: Pahalgam is well connected to major cities in Jammu and Kashmir by road. You can take a bus or hire a taxi from Srinagar or Jammu to reach Pahalgam. From Pahalgam, you can either trek to Amarnath or take a helicopter ride.
  4. By Helicopter: Helicopter services are available from Baltal and Pahalgam to Amarnath during the pilgrimage season, which is usually from June to August. You can book helicopter tickets online or through authorized travel agents.
